Farewell to Our Excellent Foreign Teacher KEN

Grateful to Meet & Look Forward to Future

Beijing Broaden &Toptrans Communication Center (BTC) is an educational service organization, specialized in international cultural communication, foreign teacher recruitment and management, educational consulting, translation services, study tour and research. Over the years, our company has been committed to contributing to the development of English education in China, and making efforts to cultivate more talents with Chinese soul, international vision and international communication ability.

In the past few years, BTC has provided high quality service of foreign teacher recruitment and management to many schools in Beijing, and has won high praise from the partner schools through the professional team management and meticulous work attitude.

After long term screening and accumulation, BTC has created an excellent team of foreign teachers. Ken, a foreign teacher from the United States, is one of the excellent foreign teachers selected by our center. Since he came to work in BTC in September 2020, he has worked in QingshuiSchool in Mentougou District of Beijing and Beijing Foreign Studies University Foreign Language School. During the time he worked in Qingshui School, he over came a range of problems, such as inconvenient transportation and the mountainous students’ low proficiency in English. He actively and carefully prepared lessons and thought out to use animal hand puppets to teach, which helped improve students’ learning interest in English and broaden their horizons, and let them know more about the outside world and different cultures.

Wonderful Class from Ken:

Ken has a strong sense of humour. He is very good at mobilizing the classroom atmosphere through various activities and small games, intertwining the amusing with education.

Ken increased the closeness with the students through hand puppet interaction.

Ken also plays theharmonica and the flute. Whenever the students answered the questions correctly, Ken would use music to give praise and stimulate the students’ learning initiative. Every student was encouraged to come to school with the mostpositive study attitude and enjoy the best school time with their peers!

Ken has devoted himself to teaching in China and has not been back to the United States for many years.He misses his hometown and relatives very much, so he decided to finish histeaching trip in China this summer and return home to accompany his family. BTC understands the homesickness of foreign teachers, and held a special farewell party for Ken. Some members of the BTC management team attended the farewell banquet.

At the farewell banquet, everyone made a toast to thank Ken for his hard work in BTC in thepast three years, and wished Ken a safe journey back home!

Finally, BTC Director Wang Peng gave a delicate customized mug, which is a souvenir of the 10th anniversary of BTC to Ken, since we all know he likes to drink coffee. Hopefully,the cup can bring him warmth from BTC team and make him feel we are still being around when he returns to the United States. We all hope that Ken keeps intouch with us on the other side of the ocean, seeking more cooperation opportunities together, and looking forward to a better future!

Our center attaches great importance to the humanized management and team building of foreign teachers. During the important holidays, BTC organizes collective activitiesfor foreign teachers. For example, in Christmas and New Year, BTC would order banquet for all staff members, and arrange parties, karaoke, etc., so that foreign teachers can feel warmth from a big family, gain a sense of belonging in a foreign country, and have greater motivation to provide high quality teaching service to our partner schools.
