On November 16, 2018, 2018 Sino-USA Education Forum Session 3 took place in Beijing Haidian District Teachers’ College Experimental Primary School. This is a Sino-US STEM course exchange activity with the theme of "Lighting up the classroom with technology".

After a brief welcome ceremony, both parties had a general introduction of both sides and main purpose of this exchange.

First of all, professor Kamie from the U.S taught a lesson to make the gloves light up with the task as the core. She first used the activity to let students review the direction and process of current flow in the closed circuit, and then released the task of this lesson "let the gloves "Light up". Students discussed the plan in groups, and started making such gloves. When they saw the success of their design, they couldn't help but jumping happily.

The enthusiasm and creativity of the students are fully mobilized and exerted. Both the classroom atmosphere and the display atmosphere are full of enthusiasm for learning.

After the class, American experts gave a lecture, introducing teaching intentions, design ideas, post-class extensions, and understanding of STEM education. Chinese teachers in the class actively participated in discussion and interpreted the lecture from the perspective of "learning", "school", and "students" .

Professor Julie introduced the construction and implementation of the STEM curriculum in American schools with specific examples. The teachers used pasta and marshmallow to experience the curriculum. Everyone teamed up to exchange ideas and made full use of the knowledge of space geometry and stable triangle structure, to experience the fun of creation.

The exchange of passion for education made everyone feel that time was so short. Another fruitful day ended before we realized it, and we had to say goodbye to the education counterparts. Although communication is short, learning from each other is an eternal idea. The one-day STEM course exchange activity of joint research, sharing enhances wisdom and inspired thinking, laid a good foundation for future international exchanges.
